Everybody should have a copy of IrFanView (In freewares -- also get plugins)
Install IrFanView.
Open a copy of IrFanView and a copy of MS Paint.
Open your movie in IrFanView and scan to the frame you want to capture -- stop the movie. Right click and select "Copy" -- Move your cursor to the open Paint windows and select "Paste"

ReplyDeleteIn virtualdub there is an option to "save image sequence ..." and some players/filters have a capture frame option
