You can buy the CD / DVD lens cleaners in normal CD shops like Extrazone, Free Record Shop, .... Anywheren you can buy music CD's... Normally it helps Wink Good luck
what is brand? and it plays games but rarely or with a lot of problems(it has loading every 5 minutes and for like 3-4 minutes every time and all the videos in the game stuck)
Try opening it up and cleaning it directly, if you are pretty good at stuff like that. It does void your warrantee so if you are not sure try finding a certified someone to do it (is there such a thing?) I've used rubbing alchol and 100 proof vodka, both worked the same.
If you think that page is relavant to your problems then go carefully and read the pages in full untill you have a clear understanding of what your doing, this should fix your errors.
He doesnt say it in his tutorial but I would also recomend wiping the lens with a non residual alcohol such as isopropyl when/if you get the lense exposed.
well i dont know a specific brand m8, but this happend with my cd drive of my laptop not completely the same but very similar and i tried oen it didnt work i trieid another and it did and that is why i suggest 2 diffrent brands

no it doesnt i have one and it gets in and goes back to the menu.
ReplyDeleteI took a fluffy ear cleaner and tryed it on. Should I wet the ear cleaner with some alcohol? or it will blow my PS2?
try a diffrent brand maybe that helps, will it jsut not play any games or you just want to clean it or what

Do you get 'Disk read errors'? I have had this problem before and fixed it on a few machines.
