Photoshop text tool not working properly

i searched the internet but couldn't find a working solution to an, almost same, problem of what i have.<br /><br />When i try to type text in photoshop cs2, you see the normal actions.. but the text i type in is freaking tiny. When i put the font size on 1200 pt it'll be like 12 pt and ugly (pixel-like). i don't have a f**king clue what it could be and how i can solve this...<br /><br />I've already tried to delete my fonts and reinstall them, reinstall photoshop or, indeed, restart my computer.<br />I have no Dr. Eye which some forums say you have to remove and don't have anti-spam appz on my pc which could be the cause of the problem too.<br /><br />i'm going *like* crazy of this. Normally i solve my own problems by myself, but it seems i failed this time

Photoshop CS2/7 slow Problem

I downloaded PS CS2. Tried to put Clouds as a Render. Have to wait about 5min to integrate the Render correctly. Tried to Download Photshop 7.0. Same problem.<br />I have a AMD Athlon 3000+ 1GB Ram and a 7600GT. My old Celeron with 256MB Ram and Intel Video was faster.

i have a photgraph in 3072×2304 size............i want to resize the same to a much smaller size ( smaller than a 10×15 photo) without the loss of quality........<br /><br />can i do this in photoshop.......if so how??<br /><br />truth being said.......i havent used photoshop in my whole life........<br /><br />anyhow i'll manage....just a small tut on how to resize the pic would be fine.
