Wireless Brodband Help

i have my wireless router connected wit another computer that has brodband. the problem iz sometimes my internet speeds acts normal and i get like around 300kbps downloads and the pages load fast--but for the past two days it randomly acts up and the pages load really slow and i get around 10kbps downloads. AVI Skipping when played on DVD Player

This has been going on with about 60% of my AVI movies and I'm SICK of it! I have a DVD player that handles Divx / AVI format, which makes it real convenient for me because I can usually just dump some AVI movies on a DVD and pop it in my player and watch it. The problem is that over half of the time I get a disc full of movies that skip, stutter and sometimes totally drop out of play.<br /><br />So now I am looking for a solution to this problem. I have used several burning programs over the years, so I can't say it's that (currently using Prassi Ones). I have had a number of DVD writers and it has persisted throughout. What does one do to ensure that the movies on the disc will play properly in a DVD player? They play perfectly on my PC - but screw up when I try to play on the DVD player. Thanks in advance for your help.

Windows Vista Error

I had cucusoft iPod video converter installed on a laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro) and all was going fine.<br /><br />I got a newer version of cucusoft and installed (including patched) it on the laptop, but didn't uninstall the old version.<br /><br />After this the laptop wouldn't play .avi files and cucusoft kept crashing.<br /><br />I tried system restore which brought everything back to normal but everytime i installed cucusoft it would have the same effect.<br /><br />After doing this a few times I realised that when I tried to patch the new version, I "copied" the files into the wrong cucusoft folder i.e. the old version that I should have installed.<br /><br />Unfortunately i have since uninstalled this program and so the files are deleted. I tried to install a few registry cleaners but they keep crashing now also!<br /><br />And to make matters worse system restore wont work anymore either?<br /><br />It's a brand new laptop and i dont need anything on it, so is there any way I can get it back to the way that it was when I bought it?<br /><br />I have heard of reinstalling windows but don't know how to and would i need the cd that came with the laptop to do that?

As i turn my computer on it asks me to press any key if i want to boot from cd so i press enter<br /><br />then it goes to the Bios screen and asks me what i want to do<br /><br />Install windows<br /><br />Reinstall Windows<br /><br />or quit setup<br /><br />i choose Install Windows, so it goes to a different bios screen and tells me that setup did not find an hard disk drives installed in your computer, and that i should make sure that they are all properly powered and connected...and that setup cannot continue.<br /><br />i tried to connect them but i am not familiar with the Sata wiring , so i was wondering if anyone can tell me what i should to to correct this problem

i need to format and reinstall windows as im having problems on startup and a few other gremlins, and its actually been nearly 2 half years since it was built so ive been luck really that ive not had to do it before.<br />When i bought the pc, it came with a windows recovery cd, which im not sure what it is.<br />I think this will do a fresh install but im not certain..<br /><br />OR.. should i just bite the bullet and download a version of xp from here (i think i have xp black edition i d/l for a pal somewhere)<br />And install that..<br />If i should d/l a new version of xp here. which one should i go for..<br />the pc is just for every day use and a few games.<br />Amd 3500<br />x850xt<br />2 gig ram.<br /><br />Any help will be very greatly appriceated, im not a total novice, but any advice on what i should do will be very welcome..<br />thanks folks..<br />harry..
