Playing MKV with GOM player

I am using GOM player now for over a year and I never had any problems with it. Now, since a few weeks it can't play the new encoded .mkv files. The strange thing is that it still plays MKV's I downloaded a while ago.<br /><br />When I try to play such a 'new encoded MKV file' I get the message: Can't use overlay mixer.<br /><br />I have the same problem on my other computers.<br /><br />I can still watch the MKV files with VLC, Windows Media Player Classic ... but not with GOM.<br /><br />Someone has the same issue or knows how to solve this problem?

Burn AVI Movie With Nero

I Have six star wars movies and was looking to burn them all to one disc in AVI form. So I open up Nero throw in my disc and add the 6 movies to the things to be burned list, all six movies are approximately 6 mb above the available space on the disc, it is a 4.7gb disc. Is there anyway I can just cut like the credits out of the movie to lower the amount of space it takes up, I tried to in Sony Vegas and when i re rendered it, the file was a lot bigger. Compress avi ??

While fixing the video ( had to rotate it ) it was saved as an .avi file...nd so it is a video under 2 minutes with a size of 1.5 GB.....so i can't upload it anywhere..or send it... any way of converting it to .wmp or something hat will reduce the size? its 240x320. so it's small sized...

Resolution Problem for my DVD RIPS

i'm making some more of my DVDS..and gonna upload them.<br />what resolution in AutoGK should i put it at??<br />i know people dont want widescreen, anything but that... whats the correct res for fullscreen?<br />it seems that a rip i did of saving private ryan was: 416x240,i take it, thats is not good, i'm set to do @ least another 5 movies, one of them being: Stephen King's ROSE RED.<br /><br /><br />what resolution should it be for fullscreen??
