Windows XP logoff and shutdown problem

Recently I haven't been able to logoff or shutdown properly, whenever I try to logoff or shut down it just doesn't do anything. To shutdown i have to shutdown from the welcome screen.<br /><br />Some reasons for this could be that i downloaded tune up utilities 2007 and it cause harm to windows or some viruses i had.<br /><br />Could anyone give me a solution that doesn't include having to reformat my whole computer.

Counter Strike 1.6 server list loading VERY VERY SLOW

wheneever i start up counter strike, it loads so slow it takes about 1-2mins for a few servers to show up on the server list, dont get me wrong i have great dsl speed, and great computer to run the game. is there any way to get the server list loading faster, i use to play hl2 dm and the servers loaded fully in 30 seconds. whats the problem?

Burning Movies

Well I burn a lot of dvd movies, but i cant seem to find a good program that lets me burn one, ive downloaded Nero 8 so many times, but every time i try to burn a movie, i get this license is illegal or some ~love~. so ive tried so many different things people have told me to try to bypass that, but nothing works. Does anyone know any other program to burn movies, ive tried Nero 6 but i dont think that version can burn movies, anything anyone knows, please tell me.

HDD help

I just installed my other sata Hdd on my computer. but im sure im missing one crucial step cause when i startup my computer the bios sees my samsung Hdd, but when i go to the my computer section it doesnt show up at all. is there a jumper i need to set in the motherboard or do something in the bios screen? I have a Gigabyte motherboard with two pairs of sata Samsung Hdd's. I noticed in the bios screen they both appear to be master mode. im sure this is where my problem is. can someone help?
