How do you change the frame height and width on avi videos?
I recently have ripped dvd's onto my hard drive. However, the frame height is 720 and frame width is 576 (aka 720x576), which does not fit the screen. Is it possible to change it so the avi video stretches the whole screen?
It´s set different in different programs mate, you could try to change a setting, instead of widescreen set it to 4:3, but it won´t be for a widescreen tv, also i don´t know if there are pan and scan or something like that kinda options in ripping progs.
ReplyDeleteif you just want to watch the video in diferent resolution you can set it with the player, if you want to change definitively you can do it with virtualdubmod, just load the file, then MEnu/Video/Filters/Add/ and choose the size
ReplyDeleteuse IMTOO DVD Ripper
ReplyDeletewhen you say full screen do you mean turn a wide screen movie(black bars top & bottom) into a full screen movie(crop the sides untill black bars are gone) ?
ReplyDeleteor is your aspect ratio off(people stretched or compressed)
virtualdubmod can crop the sides untill the height reachs full screen
irtualdub is here, it should do the job
ReplyDeletehttp://www.virtualdub.org/
for select a short part of the movie look for the buttons [ and ] choose the start of your selection and press [ and for the end ] then just save with the recode changes and it will save just the selected part
ReplyDeletewhen i use virtualdub to change frame height/width it makes the file HUGE (700 megs to 65 gigs)...how do you avoid this?
ReplyDeleteI want to change width and height without changing the audio. Virtual dub does make the file toooooooo large. Is there a program that I can use to adjust the width and height and keep the 6 channels in the audio?
