I to the iTuch phone used it lived it... but after a bit it got boring...

but if its not cracked you have to buy only selected applications for it... there are ones you can get free but they are usualy lame...

When cracked you can install almost any thing on it... and there is some real good software out for it...

I dont mind geting it on contract I get a lot off dicount cos I work for a phone network! Wink

p.s. is cracking an iPhone ilegal??

i also think it would be much much harder to crack the activation even if you do get away with not activacting it becase apple will learn from thier mistakes

and also if you dont activate within 30days you get fined so even if you do sneak the new 3g iphone from somewhere you will get fined

so apple wins all the time

I plan to get it, activate it...use it for a month or 2 by then some one should come up with a way off cracking it... and then I would chrack / jailbrake it... and use it as normal...

Just woundering is cracking it actualy ilegal? I maen its your phone (you paid good money for it) and you should be able to do what ever you like with it? Or?

aren't 3g phones supposed to have 2 cameras? i mean 1 for the video calls, that's the main advantage of 3g phones...

The new iphone that many coders are worried about is the feature that everytime you turn it on it will scan for third party application. Zibree the coder for Ziphone installer posted it at his site saying that he's not sure how he's going to spoof it yet. But everything can be hacked. Its just matter of time and effort / motivation.

I bought the iPhone like 2 months ago from the o2 shop...went home, plugged it into my PC and within 5mins I was surfing the web on it using my Orange contact. I never signed up to o2 and I am yet to. I have broken it twice so far though and it has had to be factory re-set through iTunes which then locked it again and updated it to the latest software, unlocked it again and its fine.
The new one will be unlockable without a doubt.

Its going to be Anti cheats with games people need to realize. If someone releases a public hack, then Apple can easily make a update searching for that and blocking it out. And if it does find it on your phone. Your Warranty may be voided. I voted yes its crackable. But staying crackable is a whole other story. It would have to be a private hack to keep it undetected by apples knew software.

yea, just the matter of time.

it costs 16$ for cracking first generation iphone here.. MBK, Thailand.
and when iphone 3g is on sell, it would probably be crackable here at Thailand where the most illegal stuffs are legal. l

Actually it is dependent on the iPhone hardware. Although the software has been jailbroken, the hardware is the hardest bit to get around, and untill someone gets there hands on the new iPhone, no one will know if it is possible. But they will find a way...eventually.
