    "Driver Genius" or "Driver Magician" usually finds the drivers and installs for you.
    i found mine that way.

    the SATA integrated XP should be activated later. but i have a corporate version that doesnt needs activation. so...

    ok, i downloaded driver genius, now, I install XP normally, i mean in ACHI mode and then use this software to update the driver? or is there any other way to do it?

    Mate...Just go into the bios and change the sata option from ACHI to what ever other available option...You should have no more problem the setup detecting your hard drive..
    The sata driver have nothing to do with windows..It's a driver that get integrated to your XP install CD and loads in text mode.

    i didnt know that... silly me. i have to change from ACHI to IDE to install XP. I thought installing SATA drivers and using ACHI mode makes the hard disk read/write operation faster than in IDE mode. Am i wrong then?
