Dude, are you talking about burning the actual avi files to dvd? Any burning software like Nero will do it. You
just have to burn a DATA CD or DvD and it will not be converted.

Use either NERO, ROXIO or CD BurnerXP

This is a free program. From memory your machine needs .Net Frameworks 2.0 installed

If you have a dvd player with the Xvid/divx codec just making a data cd with the avi works great...

Im assuming you do that is why your asking, but if you just wanta squeeze a crap load of them onto a dvd use what i suggested, its fairly decent...

So you want to convert it, but you want the same program that is burning it to convert it. Be clearer in what you say.

The Full Nero has a program that does it. I used to use it a long time ago when I burned movies to DvD. I resently used Windows Movie Maker to convert and AVI file to VOB and burn & also TMPGEnc Xpress.

NERO does it, it just sounds like you need to learn how to use the programs. If you have Nero Essentuals then it will not do it. You need the Ultra version with the other programs included.

There are many programs, you need to learn how to use them.

  4. I started burning the movies to dvd or ripping hired DvD's. Did that for a few years.
I then got a DivX Compatable DvD Player and burned the AVI files. Did that for a
    year.
Then I got a Media player and played everything from that. It's expensive, but way
better. I have 6 media players now.
To save cost in future, I'm going to get a Media Dock and just use external HDD's.
this will save me a little over $100 each time I get new ones.

Burning DvD's is really the crappest way you can go. Get into media players or
    media Docks.

Smartest way of doing things. Easy as most the time you don't need to convert shite.
You just copy to the internal HDD via USB and play.
