just got a copy of COD4 , and it wont run on my vista , even though i know it will run on vista.

i try to run the game after i install it , and nothing happens , i apply a no/cd on it and it comes up a error about "mss32.dll" .

here are my specs

1.5 ram
8600gt
3.2Ghz HT (unsure if its core 2 duo , always comes up werid readings)
windows vista 32bit


if anyone can help with this would be very appresiated , or if anyone can tell me about hyperthreading

    Have you applied the crack / patch to the COD4 directory ??

    Also try and reinstall it...

    downloading the 1.4 patch atm , and yes i tryed the crack , and it comes up the DLL error , tryed reinstalling , my mate has the exzact sam copy , and works fine for him on XP
