I've just bought a Sony 50E2010 HD TV and would like to be able to use it as a secondary pc screen also.
I used to have my old tv setup via s-video but i would like to be able to watch hd content from my pc on my tv (is this possible)
I have bought a DVI-HDMI cable and its all plugged in, i can see the desktop on my tv but its not re sized correctly, i have tried changing resolutions, overscan etc. but if i get it too look right on my tv it looks wrong on my monitor if its right on my monitor it looks wrong on my tv?
all the options you need are available in DualView(multi-monitor mode) I think
ReplyDeletebeen a while since I've done it but I think there on the page where it shows monitor 1 & 2
and I don't have a dual set-up at the moment to check it
see it this helps

What you need is a Wireless Broadband Router, that's comes with a WAN port and Ethernet Switch.
ReplyDeleteFor example, Linksys Wireless Broadband Router WRT54G
You need to connect your cabelmodem to the WAN port of the router.
Then you can use the router to share internet connection to any wireless device or any PC for every ethernetport.
The router's guide will be helpful enough on how to setup wireless.
Your laptop more then likely came with a wireless card too then it would pick up the signal and when you first go to connect it will ask you for the wep key for the network..you can find this on the bottom of your modem..that's what i had to do.i have fiber optic dsl and that's where the wireless key and serial number are located to access the wireless network from the router. good luck..
ReplyDeleteedimax 7209apg is an Wireless Access Point. not a Broadband Router, It won't have a WAN port to connect your modem.
ReplyDeleteThe following Two models from edimax would work
.Wireless 11b/g Broadband Router
- BR-6204Wg
.MIMO Wireless 11b/g Broadband Router
- BR-6216Mg
