NETBOOK without optical drive needs operating system

I've got a small Samsung atom net book. it doesn't have an optical drive on it, only USB.

It doesn't have an operating system on it and I'm searching for a copy of windows starter edition that I can put on a USB to get it loaded onto the net book.

Does anyone know where I can go or what I need to do to sort this out?

To be honest, I find that XP Pro SP3 or linux run much better on netbooks, as they only have a crappy Intel Atom in them. (XP Pro runs great in my Samsung NC10) Win 7 Ultimate will not run on one.

Get yourself a Zipad (netdock) for £5, stick a slimline SATA optical drive in it, and perhaps a storage HDD. I've just stuck a bluray drive in mine, and have a 1TB HDD Samsung M8, very handy for netbooks and sub-notebooks
