Hopefully this hasn't been asked already but I was wondering why a file can sound great on my PC but when it is put to CD it skips and makes hisses. Is it because of say rapidshare or does this happen because of the person uploading it? Is there a technique like 192 kbps does it and 320 kbps doesn't? I'm confused please help. It would be nice to know the files that skip when put to CD so I won't waste discs..

don't think it's RS or kbps but higher kbps is always better
are you burning mp3's to disc or making a audio CD for normal CD player

for an audio CD for normal CD player
you can try converting them to wav(PCM) format before burning as whatever app your using duz this for you, and that apps converting process may be the cause
you can also try burning them at a lower rate(12x instead of 48x) as that inceaces readablity

I am downloading mp3's to Disc so they will play in a normal cd player... Most work fine everyonce in a while one will make scratch sounds and cut out... It's just strange because I can download 3 files from the same person and 2 will be fine and 1 will be messed up.

if they sound ok on your computer it may be a cd player issue
try burning them at a lower rate(12x instead of 48x) as that inceaces readablity
