HDD help
I just installed my other sata Hdd on my computer. but im sure im missing one crucial step cause when i startup my computer the bios sees my samsung Hdd, but when i go to the my computer section it doesnt show up at all. is there a jumper i need to set in the motherboard or do something in the bios screen? I have a Gigabyte motherboard with two pairs of sata Samsung Hdd's. I noticed in the bios screen they both appear to be master mode. im sure this is where my problem is. can someone help?
Format ur new hard drive using disk management.

1) right click 'my computer'
2) then click 'manage'
3) then click 'disc management'
4) ur new hdd will be sure visible there. Format it.
It will then show up in 'my computer' after the format
when i right click on my compter. i just see device manager, remote settings, system protection, and advanced system settings. i have windows vista by the way.
ReplyDeleteok, click start then goto run, then type diskmgmt.msc . This should open disc management console. Format/repartition ur new HDD from there
