Do u need win xp x64 edition on amd64? well i don't know because i have never installed winxp on an amd.... i am a computer fixer and this is my first time going to install winxp on an amd64 so u know...i need help.....
Also, there is a shortage of 64bit drivers out there -- so installing 64bit can be a crap shoot. So if you ever want to install any 64bit OS --- be sure you have all the drivers you need.
No the 64bit processors are backward compatable so windows xp the non-64bit version will run fine.
