Try downloading a video splitter/joiner. Join all the .avi movie parts together and save as .mpg. If you can't save as .mpg, save as .avi or whatever and convert the new file into .mpg.

Only bother converting to .mpg if you want the file to be played on a normal DVD player. If you just want to put it onto the DVD for storage, you don't need to convert to .mpg.

YOu first need to join them with HJSplit and then convert to whatever you want.

All files with .001 and .002 etc extensions can be joined with HJSPLIT. (indeed the name suggests you can only split, but it can acually join too.) With easy joiner, you might not get the job done. HJSplit is freeware and can be found through google.

Then, after joining the files into a divx file, you will be able to convert to dvd format, not before.

Divx file is a compressed video file with a divx codec, which can be played with a media player on your computer such as VLC player.

If you want to watch the movie on your dvd player, then you need to convert the divx file (which is in format of AVI) to a dvd. You can use software such as COnvertX2DVD or others.

    He's really confuzed now!

    LOL.

hjsplit = join the .001, etc, files into a final big file (it'll be an avi in your case - you don't need to know its divx or xvid or whatever).

Now give that avi file to ConvertX.
