.AVI recording program
so I have a capture card in my computer, but right now I'm wondering if anyone could help me find the best program to use to record the TV in signal into AVI. What do most people use to record programs into .avi like in the "Tv shows" section of the forum? How do they record like that?
Well I was trying to use media center, I'm using vista btw. and it doesn't record into avi.

What is the brand/name of your capture card?
ReplyDeleteI record as an Mpeg2 stream and then convert it to Xvid later, this way you do not have to use a single pass for DivX/Xvid encoding.
Well it's actually recording some VCR cassets that I have that I want to back up. I pretty much just thought that the same rules would apply for recording vcr as recording tv.
