Fatal Error:
One of the components that windows need to continue setup could not be installed.
Access is denied.
Some files through the installation didn't install and I had to skip.
by windows you mean XP ?
ReplyDeleteDon't think you can "go back" to XP
you prob need to do a fresh install, one that wipes out all vista remnants
when installing a NEW os its always better to do a CLEAN install (format HD before new install). thats from 20+ years of experiance, bro (no matter what they "say" is possible).
ReplyDeleteSo how do I format it?
ReplyDeleteI'm not to good on computers.
In steps what do I need to get and do.
go to this site, make a boot diskette, format the disk you wanna use, boot from CD/DVD, and install
ReplyDelete(when the diskette have booted, write: format c: /s)
Code:
http://www.bootdisk.com/
do you have an XP install disk ?
ReplyDeleteput it in and boot from it by setting the boot order in your bios to cd 1st
it should offer to delete the partition and then recreate it for XP install
Calum you need to code your links
if you realy need a boot disk get hiren's boot CD in aio section
