Wondering how to resize a .AVI movie file that's going to be burnt to a DVD-RW.

I've read around about a few apps. I've got Blaze Media Pro. I don't know if it's going to work...but wondering if you've any suggestions on it.

I've a 50in Widescreen, I only get half of the screen to play the movie, the other half is black bars.
